Camp Description: Camp Jorn YMCA is situated on a 70+ acre peninsula of mature pine forest in Wisconsins Northern Highland State Forest. Located on the shores of Rest Lake, part of the Manitowish Chain of Lakes, the nearest town is Manitowish Waters. Camp Jorn provides Resident Camp, Day Camp and Family Camp.

Job Description and Required Certifications: The Camp Jorn YMCA Board of Directors is actively seeking a visionary leader who will lead the Y forward and build upon past success. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated and cause-driven professional to work closely with the Board of Directors and key camp community stakeholders. Camp Jorn seeks to be a premier independent YMCA camp with strong camper enrollment and a positive impact on the lives of children, staff and participants that it serves. Candidates must have a solid business acumen, sound judgment, and exceptional leadership skills. In addition, they must have a proven track record that demonstrates an ability to successfully implement and promote the camps services and activities to the broader camp community, assess the camps physical and program needs, develop new camp programs, raise funds through annual and capital campaigns, develop and manage a diverse staff, work with a YMCA board that focuses on strategic issues rather than operational issues and connect and build relationships among the camps alumni. Solid program development and innovation are critical areas for the new CEO and to the YMCAs success. Minimum Criteria for candidates: 1. Accredited 4-year college degree. 2. Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and personal values consistent with the YMCA mission. 3. Minimum three years prior experience in a senior management role with a YMCA or related experience at a comparable organization with direct supervision of multiple levels of staff and employees. 4. Must have the ability to develop and strengthen community/camp relationships. 5. Have the ability to critically review, develop and enhance the programs being offered to effectively broaden our engagement in the communities in which we serve. Preferred Criteria for Candidates: 1. YMCA Organizational Leader Certification. (If this is not currently possessed, the CEO is required to obtain this within 3 years of hire date.) 2. Fiscally sound business management approach. 3. Strategic planning and Fundraising experience including annual campaigns and the securing of grants. 4. A proven track record of budgetary and fiscal management in excess of $300,000 or more annually.
Salary Information: $65,000-$75,000 Annualized
