Camp Name: Triangle Y Ranch Camp

Camp Location: Oracle, AZ

Camp Description: The Triangle Y-Ranch camp is located in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains outside Oracle, Arizona and is approximately a 50 minute drive from downtown Tucson, Arizona. The camp has proudly served Southern Arizona for more than 50 years. At an elevation of 5,000 feet, the camp covers 400 acres within the Coronado National Forest offering a unique outdoor experience for all ages. Currently the camp operates year-round with 8 weeks of traditional YMCA youth resident camping in the summer. The cornerstone of camp is the “Green Conference Center” which houses a full service dining hall, meeting rooms and the camp administrative office. The camp has also constructed “Angel Village;” 5 cabin units with a state of the art restroom unit. The current bed capacity is 240. The camp is fully ACA Accredited.

Job Description and Required Certifications: Join the YMCA of Southern Arizona at our desert camp in sunny Arizona and work year round as a key leader at our Oracle, AZ location. Job Description: This position conducts outreach events using Association and Camp specific marketing materials for resident camp and retreat groups, has responsibility for Camp operations and the annual support campaign; plays a leadership role in volunteer and staff development, engages in positive community relations and collaborations efforts; and supervises Camp staff in the absence of the Executive Director. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Establishes with the branch leadership team long range plans for the expansion of programs and services including growth in paid camperships and retreat center usage within the Association objectives. 2. Oversees the quality controls of all Triangle Y Ranch Camp programs, including summer camp, outdoor education, and other retreat groups. 3. Recruits, hires, trains, develop and directs employees and volunteers as assigned. Works with the Camp Board of Managers on the Annual Support Campaign in the Executive Director’s absence. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals. 4. Represents and promotes the YMCA in area communities and develops positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and government entities for collaborations. 5. Develops, manages and monitors assigned operating budgets to meet or exceed targets. Recommends adjustments to the budget to assure a balanced operation and submits reports on current operations. 6. Develops, directs, and implements the branch and Association marketing plan and evaluates its effectiveness in recruiting and retaining campers and retreat groups while working with the Association communications/special projects director. 7. Oversees leadership staff and implements new programs and policies to expand and improve upon this program in the absence of the Executive Director. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Motivation and ability to role model and teach the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility of the YMCA of Southern Arizona. 2. Bachelor's degree in recreation, human services, education, business or a related field. 3. Five or more years of camp management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other not-for-profit agency. 4. Ability to direct assigned operations including volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and program development. 5. Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations. 6. YMCA team leader or Multi-Team/Branch Leader certification preferred. 7. Willingness and ability to live on site in temporary camp provided lodging in the infirmary quarters (1 bedroom unit) for the first 6 months of employment. 8. Current CPR and First Aid certifications or ability to obtain them within 90 days of hire. Additional Compensation Details: Exempt role with full time benefits including health insurance, dental, life insurance, and long term disability after meeting eligibility criteria and 10% retirement after meeting retirement fund criteria. Temporary, on site lodging in the nurses quarters for an individual with meals provided in the dining hall when groups are present.

Salary Information: $39,000-$42,000/year
