TARGET SPORTS INSTRUCTOR Camp Name: Camp Jorn YMCA Camp Location: Manitowish Waters, WI Camp Description: Camp Jorn is located in the beautiful north woods of Wisconsin and sits on over 70 acres overlooking Rest Lake, surrounded by the Northern Highland State Forest. We offer traditional camp experiences for children 8yrs-16yrs. Our mission is for all who engage in Camp Jorn YMCA experiences to recognize and develop value in themselves and in the world around them. At camp, we want our campers to get a chance to unplug from the world and learn what it means to be caring, honest, respectful, responsible, and grow as a person. We have been operating since 1953, and are celebrating our 60th anniversary this year! We welcome you to join our CJ family. Sponsoring YMCA: Camp Jorn YMCA Inc. YMCA Location: Manitowish Waters, WI Job Description and Required Certifications: The Target Sports Instructor is responsible for teaching and coordinating Camp Jorn's archery and air rifle programs, maintaining standards that lead to a quality program. They are responsible for teaching counselors and program assistants their responsibilities in those areas during staff training. The Target Sports Instructor supervise and teach daily instructional classes to resident and day campers and supervise during cabin and free-time activity. This individual should have knowledge of both Archery and Air Riflery equipment, as well as safety equipment and general maintenance needed for both. Requirements: Minimum of 18 years of age or High school graduate/equivalent. Training and experience in teaching archery and riflery (documented). Ability to set up Archery and Air Rifle Range with all required equipment. Ability to teach archery and shooting to staff and campers of all ages. Desire and ability to work with children outdoors. Current CPR & First Aid certification. Flexible, diplomatic, enthusiastic, and team orientated individual committed to modeling and teaching values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Personal Growth. Salary Information: Weekly rate based on experience and qualifications. Starting at $240/wk from June - Mid August, room & board included.
