Job Description

The Manager, Virtual Learning Center is responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of the Virtual Learning Center. The Manager will design and implement virtual learning for the national movement of YMCAs and ensure quality in all aspects of virtual learning.

This role will contribute to the execution and continual improvement of learning experiences. The Manager, Virtual Learning Center will build relationships with participants, trainers, faculty, stakeholders, and team members to meet or exceed success criteria for assigned programs and projects. 

 

This position offers a base salary of  (min) $74,700.00 up to $99,600.00 (mid). Final salary is determined by required qualifications, experience, and education for this role.

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, educational technology or a related field is required. 

•A minimum of 5 years of experience in learning technology, facilitations or instructional design 

•Experience supervising and leading others is preferred.

•Must be able to travel 10% of the time.

•Excellent training delivery and facilitation skills are required. 

•Must be skilled at applying the principles of adult learning and employee development.

•Strong knowledge of virtual learning platforms, tools and technologies (Microsoft, Qualtrics, LMS, etc.) 

•Proficiency in virtual delivery systems (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.)

•Self-directed; and proficient at Project management

•Experience working with stakeholders at all levels of an Organization.

•Proven ability to influence and lead others who are not in one’s direct reporting structure. 

•Proven ability to problem solve, be flexible, and adjust to situations as they arise if needed. 

•Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals.

Essential Functions

•Develop and implement standard operating guidelines, procedures, and practices for virtual, instructor-led learning & development experiences.

•Provide leadership to the class scheduling, administration/management and production of all virtual instructor led training. 

•Leads the process to implement the virtual learning roadmap. 

•Collaborate with the Learning Center leadership team on learning goals for the Y network. 

•Build key relationships with the full learning center team, trainers/faculty and other stakeholders. 

•Leads the launch of all new virtual instructor-led training. 

•Support the implementation of Learning Center by contributing to communication, yearly learning calendar development and the implementation of the annual Learning Center needs assessment and evaluation. 

•Develop and maintain a pool of highly trained trainers, faculty, facilitators, and producers to ensure delivery of high-quality and engaging virtual learning & development experiences.

•Work with the content team to ensure virtual learning & development trainer resources are available, accessible, and up to date. 

•Stay-up-to date with emerging trends and technology in online learning & industry best practices to ensure the best possible experience is being offered to the Y network. 

•Develop, implement, and respond to a feedback system for network wide virtual learning & development experiences, making necessary adjustment to enhance participation outcomes.

•Implement strategies to ensure quality of training experience for virtual training offerings. 

•Perform other duties as assigned.
