Payroll Associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our administrative office and support vital organizational payroll functions. 
Job Description

The Payroll Associate acts as a collaborative partner within the Finance Department and across the organization. This position is primarily responsible for payroll administration, employee record keeping, responding to inquiries from staff and outside agencies, andadditional administrative tasks.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years payroll experience preferred 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in daily operations and to conduct daily duties professionally 
  • High school diploma required, some college courses in business administration preferred 
  • Experience utilizing an electronic payroll system; Paylocity preferred 
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word with the ability to learn new software 
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with employees and the public 
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints 
  • Ability to operate in a team environment
Essential Functions
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality under all circumstances 
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy in payroll processing and data entry duties 
  • Provide outstanding customer service to all employees and outside agencies with payroll-related questions pertaining to timesheets, earnings, and taxes 
  • Process Payroll Change Forms and Employment Verification Forms 
  • Conduct regular review of payroll information utilizing established verification processes 
  • Work in conjunction with Supervisor to complete and process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for 650-1,000 employees, depending on the season 
  • Train managers on the timesheet approval process and ensure internal compliance with departmental and organizational expectations of timesheet submission and approvals 
  • Track and pay employee referral bonuses 
  • Assist with onboarding paperwork and processes of seasonal camp staff, as needed 
  • Create payroll reports as needed, including for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end, as directed by Supervisor 
  • Assist with staff orientation, training and record keeping 
  • Other duties to include HR administrative functions as assigned by Supervisor
