Job Description:

We are very excited to announce that the New Hope YMCAhas a new opening for adynamic School Success Program Director to join our team!

The School Success Program Director is responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating day to day processes and programs. The incumbent supervises staff, volunteers and students in the School Success Center/School. The incumbent manages programing for quality and safety for assigned School Success Center/School. The School Success Program Director is responsible for building positive relationships with students, families, school staff, and community partners. Essential Functions: Manages day to day operations for safe, high quality School Success programs focusing on youth development and academics within the assigned school. Serves as the key contact for school staff, including the principal and teachers, for implementation of daily programs. Maintains strong working relationships and coordinate collaborative programming using school and Y funds. Implements and coordinates the strategies and processes for daily programming to include, but not limited to, scheduling, recruitment, retention, data collection and reporting, behavior management, registration and transportation. Manages expenses to approved budget while meeting daily programming needs including purchasing needed supplies and managing partner contracts to implement programming. Develops and implements program curriculum and activities which meet grant goals and identified needs, where applicable. Creates and maintains a staff structure including recruitment, hiring, staff development, and supervision of a high quality and diverse team. Serves as the key contact for parents and community agencies and facilitates events and programming which engages them as partners. Fosters a safe and respectful environment within a diverse community of youth, families, volunteers, and partner agencies. Relationships: This position reports to the School Success Center Director and represents the Y to communities serviced. Takes work direction from the Center Director or their representative to meet programing or grant requirements. The incumbent supervises center staff and provides indirect supervision to school and partner staff and volunteers. The incumbent regularly interacts with community agency partners, youth and families from diverse backgrounds. This position has an indirect but critically important partnership relationship with the school administration and teachers associated with their center.

Minimum Requirements



Bachelor's degree in education, social work or related field or equivalent experience. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in managing programs (designing, implementing, and evaluating youth development programs) to include at least of 1 years directly supervising staff. Ability to manage expenses to a budget. Ability to develop positive relationships and collaborate with a variety of community partners. Good interpersonal and relationship building skills Strong problem solving and, analytical ability Good communication (verbal and written) skills. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office. Ability to work as part of a team and independently as needed. Ability to maintain high levels of interaction in a fast paced customer focused environment. Ability to foster a safe and healthy environment for youth and staff. Ability to work with diverse groups people. Adult and Child CPR or CPR/PR, First Aid, and AED Certifications within 30 days of hire date. Preferred: Current state teaching license. Skilled in group processes, group facilitation, and co-facilitation. Experience in fundraising and grant writing. Second language skills (Spanish, Hmong, or Somali).

Ability to move throughout a school building regularly throughout the day Ability to travel locally to attend meetings, training, etc.

Salary: $33,920 - $39,905
