Job Description and Required Certifications: The Birmingham YMCA is looking for a dynamic, energetic, dedicated, experienced camping professional who under the general guidance of the District Vice President and in collaboration with the Camp Advisory Board, will lead and oversee the business operations and programs of YMCA Camp Cosby on a year-round basis. The Camp Executive Director should have a proven track record in developing, growing, managing and delivering high quality resident camp operations and programming. This position requires an individual who is experienced at developing and working with boards, successful at fundraising, managing budgets in excess of $1 million and has experience in developing staff teams. Requirements: 5-7 years YMCA professional experience, preferably in camping. YMCA Senior Director Certification or equivalent a plus. Bachelors degree (BA/BS ) from a four year accredited college or university. Strong leadership background. High skills in human relations, budgeting, fiscal management, program development, planning, writing and communications, interpersonal relationships and staff development.
