Camp Description: YMCA Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya is a year-round recreational and educational center operated by the Greater Green Bay YMCA. Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya has been offering dynamic, safe, and mission-driven programs for children, teens, families, and groups since 1937. Located 65 miles north of Green Bay in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest on the shores of Chute Pond, Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya has 140 acres of woodlands, three bodies of water, excellent facilities, dedicated staff, and extensive program opportunities throughout each season of the year.

YMCA Location: Suring, WI

Job Description and Required Certifications: Play an important role in delivering safe, fun and engaging trip experiences to kids ages 11 -17 in the great outdoors while backpacking, canoeing, or kayaking. Work and live with a group of 6-8 campers to build lasting memories, relationships and values. Qualifications: The Adventure Trip Counselor must be at least 21 years of age. At least one full season of work experience in a summer camp environment is required. Experience camping in the wilderness is preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record as defined by the Greater Green Bay YMCA. Considerable physical movement to include running, walking, hiking, boating, swimming, games, etc. required. Must be able to lift at least 70 pounds. CPR/AED, First Aid, Wilderness First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications required prior to the beginning of camp (training provided if not already certified). Enjoyment working with youth in a fast-paced outdoor environment and demonstrated leadership abilities in this capacity. College courses or credits in child development preferred.

Salary Information: $226 per week
