Camp Description: Camp Nissokone is our northern adventure camp, located on Lake Van Etten in Oscoda. The perfect destination to learn sailing, kayaking, fencing, water skiing and wakeboarding, Other favorites include: paintball, horseback riding, high ropes course and zip line. Offering outstanding Ranch and Teen Leadership programs for specialized experiences. The ideal location for older campers and families.

Job Description and Required Certifications: Seeking a team member who will function as a lead teacher and head lifeguard, generally assisting with the planning and production of quality aquatics programs for a variety of ages and skills levels ranging from children to adults. Help to plan and deliver all-camp activities and events. • Responsible for safe supervision of camp swim area, following established aquatic procedures; proper storage of equipment and supplies; pool and class record keeping; swim testing and general lakefront rules • Lesson planning and implementation for swim lessons • Conduct lifeguard in-services and trainings. • Supervise team of 6-8 aquatics personnel • Assist in leadership team planning all-camp events. • High school diploma or its equivalency required, secondary education preferred • Experience in lifeguarding, CPR and first aid. Ability to obtain Ellis lifeguarding certification required (training provided). • Previous aquatic instruction and lifeguarding experience is required • Open water / brown water experience preferred (lake setting).

Salary Information: $250-275/wk plus housing and meals onsite
