Camp Description: Our well-established resident camp/conference center/outdoor education branch, consists of 309 beautiful acres along the Chesapeake Bay, sailing and boating beaches, an outdoor pool, high ropes challenge course, tennis courts, cabins, cottages and lodges.

Job Description and Required Certifications: Camp Tockwogh is seeking a mature, dynamic, knowledgeable, motivated team player to provide leadership in our summer camp programs. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated by the prospect of working, living and playing on the shores of the beautiful Chesapeake Bay. Under the direction of the Program Director, the Assistant Camp Director- Programs is responsible for the administration, development, and implementation of all land programs including but not limited to Horseback Riding, Fine Arts, Athletics, Outdoor Education and the LIT/CIT Teen Leadership Programs at Camp Tockwogh. The Assistant Camp Director- Programs will provide on site supervision of all land based programs and special events. Responsibilities include staff and camper recruitment and retention, personnel management, fiscal management, program, staff, and camper development, equipment and facility management. Purchase all supplies related to program and maintenance and maintain inventory and cost control. Assist in the development of department budget. Assist with salary control and management. Responsible for assisting with research and planning for long-range improvements to the facility and equipment. Responsible for the general upkeep of the activity areas and program equipment. Responsible for all aspects of the summer riding program, which includes marketing, planning, organizing and evaluating. Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience; minimum of 3+ year's progressive professional experience in residential camping and staff management. Experience in resident camp and teen leadership programs are a must. Certification in First Aid/CPR is preferred or ability to do so within 6 months. Must live on property and be part of a rotating schedule of directors to be on duty around the clock during the summer/conference season.
Salary Information: Excellent benefits including 12% retirement. Housing is provided in a 2 bed, 1 bathroom house with a living room, kitchen, and porch.
