Camp Description: Nestled high in the Pocono Mountains in the very north east corner of Pennsylvania our 1,100 acre facility provides the ideal setting for a wide range of camp and outdoor center experiences. Featuring a 42-acre private lake, miles of trails, 24 horse equestrian center, 3 target ranges, climbing towers, ropes courses, team challenge courses, arts & craft studios, and so much more. And as they say in "real estate" - we have location, location, location! We are just 1.5 hours from NYC and 2.5 hours from Philly - in the heart of the tri-state metropolitan region and within some of the country's greatest outdoor recreation venues. Our Camp is proud to have been established in 1948 as the first racially integrated camp within the YMCA. Today we continue to include campers from diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Job Description and Required Certifications: Our new Associate Program Director is a creative, team player who is seeking their "camp home". He/she will have opportunities to create and implement new programs and curriculum and make an impact on the YMCA Camping Community. The Associate Program Director shall develop and implement the summer residential camp program for Camp Eljabar (campers entering 3rd - 7th grades) and all Inclusion Programs within the summer camps and outdoor center. The Inclusion Programs include but are not limited to Day/Resident Campers with special needs, international campers, international family camps, and school year retreats for niche populations. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Management, Therapeutic Recreations, Education, or relate field. He/she shall have 1 - 3 years of progressive leadership experience within resident camping programs preferably a YMCA Camp. The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in the development and implementation of new programs and/or initiatives. He/she will be certified or able to be certified in CPR/1st Aid/AED. Lifeguarding and other certifications are a plus. Familiarity with STEM programming is also preferred. The successful candidate shall have proven effective staff / volunteer management expertise. Salary Information: $23,660 - $ 25,000 On Site Housing / Meals when provided to campers. Health/Dental/Vision Insurance
