Camp Description: Camp Twin Lakes YMCA, is located in Cedar Park, TX just north of historic Austin (http://www.cedarparktx.us/cp/default.aspx). The Camp is located next to the Twin Lakes Family Y, which has an annual budget of $5.5million and 4,000 membership units. The main facility has 34,000 square feet of programmed space, an outdoor pool/splash area, a 13,000 square foot natatorium, and 5 acres of sports fields. Camp Twin lakes is a 55-acre park with two small lakes for aquatics activities. We serve over 700 kids daily in summer camp, as well as corporate events and programs during off-season. Camp Twin Lakes Y will become a resident camp in the near future.

Job Description and Required Certifications: Exciting career opportunity to supervise rapidly growing summer camp and family programs for the Camp Twin Lakes Y, which is located just north of historic Austin, Texas in the charming Central Texas community of Cedar Park (http://www.cedarparktx.us/cp/default.aspx). Camp Twin Lakes is a 55-acre park with two small lakes for aquatics activities. We serve over 700 kids daily in summer camp, as well as corporate events and programs during off-season. Camp Twin Lakes Y has an annual budget of $2 million and will become a resident camp in the near future. The Camp Twin Lakes Y has some exciting opportunities that this position will play a key part of including: an aggressive growth campaign; a plan to increase member involvement and launch new programs; and a need to reach out to underserved communities. **Looking for a dynamic Team Player to create THE BEST OPTION for Day Camp in the community; to work as part of the YMCA Leadership Team by providing leadership for the daily operations of Camp The Program Director’s responsibilities include fiscal management and budgeting, program development, safety, staff hiring & training, supervision, promotion, volunteer development, and community outreach. ** This position requires someone who is highly motivated, driven to success, enthusiastic, organized and has an excellent ability to communicate with campers, staff, parents and volunteers. The success of this position will be measured by an increased level of engagement with campers, creating an intentional place of friendship-making and a 90% or greater satisfaction level among parents. The successful candidate will be able to think in new and innovative ways, have a passion for shaping lives of campers, reaching out to the community for mission work, be able to multi-task and evaluate progress on the run. Must be willing and able to model the Y’s core values of caring, respect, responsibility, honesty and faith. Red Cape optional! ** The individual in this position will be responsible for the overall coordination and day-to-day operations of the Summer Camp and family programs, including: • Planning and program development, implementation, and evaluation • Developing a strong team that understands and adheres to Y goals and values • Building relationships with members that focus on their needs and providing customer service that exceeds expectations • Building relationships with the camp staff and orienting staff to policies & procedures, program goals and expectations • Monitoring program enrollments; advising parents on most appropriate program; problem solving to resolve member and/or staff issues • Overseeing Adventure Guides and other family programs • Coordinating and conducting staff meetings and staff evaluations • Assisting with the creating of a multi-year plan with goals and objectives and identifying areas of new development **JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE** • At least 21 years of age. • At least 5 years camp management/operational experience required. 4-year college degree preferred. • Excellent safety record • Previous experience in program development, supervision, volunteer development, and fiscal management • A history of relating well with others • Strong communication and personal relations skills • Ability to work well in a team and collaborative coaching environment • A positive, enthusiastic, and respectful demeanor • A commitment to the program’s high standards • Must be able to pass reference checks, pre-employment drug screen, and criminal history check • A valid Texas Driver license and valid insurance Special notes: The YMCA of Greater Williamson County is $21 million Association focusing on mission driven, non-profit services. Salary Information: Salary: $27,541 - $38,584. Salary commensurate with skills and experience.
