Camp Description: Camp Twin Lakes YMCA, is located in Cedar Park, TX just north of historic Austin (http://www.cedarparktx.us/cp/default.aspx). The Camp is located next to the Twin Lakes Family Y, which has an annual budget of $5.5million and 4,000 membership units. The main facility has 34,000 square feet of programmed space, an outdoor pool/splash area, a 13,000 square foot natatorium, and 5 acres of sports fields. Camp Twin lakes is a 55-acre park with two small lakes for aquatics activities. We serve over 700 kids daily in summer camp, as well as corporate events and programs during off-season. Camp Twin Lakes Y will become a resident camp in the near future.

Job Description and Required Certifications: Exciting career opportunity to supervise and perform facility maintenance and custodial operations for Camp Twin Lakes YMCA, which is located in Cedar Park, TX, just north of historic Austin (http://www.cedarparktx.us/cp/default.aspx). The Camp is located next to the Twin Lakes Family Y, which has an annual budget of $5.5million and 4,000 membership units. The main facility has 34,000 square feet of programmed space, an outdoor pool/splash area, a 13,000 square foot natatorium, and 5 acres of sports fields. Camp Twin lakes is a 55-acre park with two small lakes for aquatics activities. We serve over 700 kids daily in summer camp, as well as corporate events and programs during off-season. Camp Twin Lakes Y will become a resident camp in the near future. The Twin Lakes Family Y and Camp Twin Lakes Y have some exciting opportunities that this position will play a key part of including: an aggressive growth campaign; a plan to increase member involvement and launch new programs, and a need to reach out to underserved communities. **Facility Maintenance/Custodial Director responsibilities include working knowledge of central plant operations, preventative maintenance practices, chemical usage, MSDS, swimming pool, and air conditioning systems. Experience managing an aquatics center, landscape and janitorial contracts. Excellent working knowledge of basic trades: plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. **REQUIRED ABILITIES and QUALIFICATIONS** Success of this position requires three or more years of supervisory experience in facilities/custodial management. Experience with computers including word processing and basic functions. Self-motivated individual who is results oriented. Ability to train maintenance and custodial staff. Manage and trouble-shoot or diagnose maintenance or custodial concerns and perform general repairs. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the recruitment, training, and supervision of professional staff, para-professional staff, and volunteers. Must have good interpersonal, public relations, and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with members, staff, peers, volunteers, and leadership. Ability to effectively communicate general information on YMCA Programs. Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations. Current certifications or ability to acquire certifications in CPR, First Aid, and CPO (Certified Pool Operator) required. 4-year college degree preferred but not required. * Must be at least 21 years of age; * Must be friendly & courteous; * Must possess a cooperative attitude and be a team player; * Must be able to work hands-on with tools and cleaning supplies; * Must be able to work flexible hours (morning & evening shifts, weekends & holidays); * Must be able to work effectively under pressure and produce accurate results; * Must be willing and able to work in excessive heat and occasional rain; * Must have a neat appearance and be well-groomed; * Must be able to lift, twist, bend, stretch, reach, stoop, climb, walk and/or stand on your feet for an entire shift. * Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test, background check, sex offender registry check, and reference checks. Salary Information: $34,426 - $38,000. Salary commensurate with skills and experience.
