Camp Description: Spend time outdoors and indoors as experienced staff lead adventures that promote a healthy spirit, mind and body. Going to a summer camp is not only a memory that your child will cherish forever, but it also has the potential to change their life. As our children today are surrounded by modern technology, spending time in the great outdoors can be an eye-opening and rewarding experience. Summer camp allows your child the opportunity to learn new skills, form wonderful relationships with their peers and learn more about themselves.

Job Description and Required Certifications: Camp Pinewood is a diverse co-ed summer resident camp program located in Western Michigan and serving campers aged 5-17 primarily from the Chicago area. Staff are required to attend all pre-camp trainings and commit to the entirety of camp season June-August. Additional employment opportunities are available before and after these dates. Under the direct supervision of the Camp Director, the Health Officer is responsible for proper health care and first aid for campers and staff. Scope of Responsibilities: Collect all campers and staff medication keeping them locked up and dispensable as directed; check all campers for communicable diseases, health problems, illnesses as directed; collect and file all camper and staff health forms; maintain all first aid kits; maintain daily treatment log; treat first aid emergencies and other contingencies; secure proper treatment for campers and staff requiring a Doctor's or hospital attention; give brief health checks to all campers leaving the camp property for overnight trips assuring proper information is available to staff members; contact parents of camper requiring physician's attention or overnight stay in health center; fill out incident reports; observe and advise staff on health, disease, sanitation, and cleanliness issues.
Salary Information: $250-$400 per week
