Job Description and Required Certifications: Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Program Director, the site coordinator will be responsible for the daily supervision and coordination of camp staff and activities, as well as assigned duties by the Program Director. Scope of Responsibilities: Provide a source of support and supervision to all camp staff during activities. Primary point person for all camps, traditional, specialty, and sports. Assisting the Day Camp Unit Leader to ensure that special events are coordinated. Assists in hires, training, supervises staff and volunteers. Assist in the evaluating of staff throughout the summer. Maintains cleanliness and safety of facilities and equipment. Coordinate and communicate with parents regarding camp questions and/or concerns during camp. Coordinate Specialty camp communications to parents. Monitoring rosters/sign in and parent communication book. Maintains YMCA standards and ensures compliance with requirements. Attends and conducts staff meetings and trainings. Make any recommendations regarding program improvements or changes to the Program Director. Responsible for submitting all reports and paperwork to Program Director. Assist with on-site set-up, clean up and day to day operations of the camp. Ensuring all equipment is functioning properly at beginning and end of session. Perform weekly check of site location to insure safety in rest rooms, camp areas, etc. Notify program director of any safety concerns immediately. Be responsible for collecting weekly attendance sheets from each team leader/counselors in your group once a week and pass all sheets on to Program Director. Be responsible for morning or afternoon extended care facilitation. During this time, they must communicate withal parents regarding any issues, questions, etc. Any additional job duties as assigned. Requirements: Must have a High School Diploma with 1 to 3 years prior experience and some supervisory experience. Bachelors degree preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Salary Information: USD $10.00/Hr-USD $11.25/Hr
