RESIDENT CAMP ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR Camp Name: Frost Valley YMCA Camp Location: Claryville, NY Camp Description: Year round, camp, conference center, environmental education center in the heart of the Catskill Mountains of NY. Sponsoring YMCA: Frost Valley YMCA YMCA Location: Claryville, NY Job Description and Required Certifications: Here's your opportunity to join an energetic, innovative team of camp professionals at a premier camp, conference and environmental education facility in the beautiful Catskill Mountains of New York. This year round position will be responsible for the development, implementation and facilitation of Frost Valley YMCA's Resident Summer Camp. This position is focused on Frost Valley's program areas and will ensure that quality service is provided to all participants. The Resident Camp Activities Director will assist with recruiting, marketing, program development, staff training and evaluation. Additional responsibilities include coordination and directing Winter resident camp, hiring and supervising 16 seasonal directors and over 200 camp staff. This position will achieve the highest standards and meet the mission of not only the department, but the YMCA, expectations of the staff and customers and the best interests of Frost Valley. Qualifications include; 21 years of age or older, Bachelor's degree in a related field, minimum 1 year experience working in a resident camp setting in a supervisory position; strong leadership skills and ability to work well with a team of others; possess excellent communication and organization skills and enjoy working with children, teens, families and staff; must have a clean, valid driver's license. Salary + Great benefits and housing and board included.
