Camp Description: Since 1927, YMCA Camp Hanes, a branch of the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina, located 30 minutes north of Winston-Salem, NC, has been creating memorable outdoor experiences for thousands of youth and young at heart. Located on the hillside of the Sauratown Mountain, we operate year round for hundreds of different groups including summer resident and day camps, school groups and weekend conferences. Annually, we serve over 15,000 guests and prepare over 170,000 meals.

Job Description and Required Certifications: The Food Service Director provides leadership in maintaining quality food and dining hall experiences to campers and guests. Responsibilities include: planning menus; purchasing food and managing vendors; hiring, training, and evaluating food service staff; supervising storage and facility needs; preparing budget for food, equipment, and staffing and operating within approved budget constraints; preparing for outside agency inspections; and ensuring cleanliness of kitchen and dining hall. This position will lead our camp food service in accordance with Safe Serve, ACA and health department standards.

Salary Information: Starting Salary: $30,000 to 35,000 (depending on experience) Our outstanding benefits package includes medical and dental insurance, wellness program, short term and long term disability insurance, life insurance, EAP and 12% retirement paid by the YMCA upon meeting eligibility requirements.
