Camp Description: Found in 1926, YMCA Camp Campbell is a 600 acre overnight facility with 300 beds specializing in creating the summer camp experience, outdoor education, corporate conferences and retreats located on the banks of the beautiful Great Miami River but only minutes from the city of Hamilton, Ohio.

Job Description and Required Certifications: The Great Miami Valley YMCA is seeking a dynamic, strategic thinking entrepreneur to lead a committed team of camping professionals. The successful candidate will have 3- 5 years of experience in planning, developing, managing, directing, promoting and supervising the camp experience designed to last a life time. Bachelors in outdoor education/recreation preferred. Candidate needs to have a good overall understanding of camping philosophy/values. YMCA Camp experience a plus. Administrative skills and abilities in the areas of personnel management, program planning, income production, fund raising, expense control, training, public relations and interpretation, record-keeping and facility utilization, equipment maintenance and care are required. In addition to many traditional camp activities Camp Campbell Gard offers an extensive challenge course and equestrian programs. The Executive Director of Camping is a vital member of the Executive Team of the Great Miami Valley YMCA which includes six branches with an annual operating budget of approximately $20 million. The candidate must possess a leadership style that is team-oriented. Recognizing that this individual may bring skills in areas other than camping, it will be desirable to utilize those skills through sharing of responsibilities with other professional staff. Because of the scope of the responsibilities, this position calls for a person of maturity and good judgment who has developed sound skills in human relations and maintaining the safety/quality of the camp experience.
