LIFEGUARD/SWIM INSTRUCTOR Camp Name: YMCA Camp Ockanickon, Inc. Camp Location: Medford , NJ Camp Description: Camp Description: YMCA Camps of Medford offers the perfect blend of overnight and day camp programs. Lake Stockwell Day Camp shares nearly 800 acres in the Pinelands Preserve with an all girls overnight camp (Camp Matollionequay) and an all boys overnight camp (Camp Ockanickon). Lake Stockwell features: two lakes for swimming and boating, a dining hall, large playing field (with sprinklers) and designated archery/riflery areas a nature center, brand new arts & crafts center and infirmary. We serve campers from age 6-16. Campers have the opportunity to enhance skills and learn new skills through a variety of age appropriate activities. We have invested in a dedicated staff, many of whom are trained in specific skills, including an Arts and Craft Director an Environmental Education Director, a Waterfront Director, an Archery Director and a Riflery Director. We offer boating, swimming, archery, arts & crafts, drama, fishing, hiking, team sports, science experiments and much more. The activities are designed to challenge the camper, encourage teamwork skills as well as allow the camper to express his/her individuality. Sponsoring YMCA: Camp Ockanickon YMCA YMCA Location: Medford , NJ Job Description and Required Certifications: The lifeguard/swim instructor position requires a mature leader with waterfront lifeguarding experience plus program experience relevant to instructional and recreational swim. Must be a minimum 18-years of age, would prefer current lifeguarding and WSI certifications, but we can also train if needed. Previous camp leadership experience is preferred. Candidates must pass a criminal background check and commit to a drug, alcohol, and tobacco free workplace.
